LOVE this particular performance...Art has slowed this down in comparison to the actual recording. This IS the way this beautiful song should be sung. Love Art's voice and I am in total agreement with noahf67.

Cigarettes are a wicked thing. Only 5 years after releasing it, Art will not go for the highest notes that make the song. His breathing is incorrect, causing damage from forcing the high notes, combined with cigarettes: you hear it all here. Don't smoke. If you have, please quit. Hard. I did it. I can sing again. This song. Compare this to the studio version. While there, enjoy the late Larry Knechtel's piano and Joe Osborn's bass. They teamed for "Bridge Over Troubled Water," too.

May be difference pianist from studio version.

It hasn't lost any of it's power after all these yrs.--Still gorgeous.

Very Great.

Jimmie Webb, one of the all time great song writers. Wrote more beautiful songs than Gershwin or Porter. And he wrote his own lyrics. Art did the song much justice.

One of the most beautiful songs in human history! People should stop and listen to good music when they think about going to war and hurting other people!

I am so jealous of Art! His angel voice!! I'm a girl and I can't even grace those high notes!! :)
It's beautiful.

Can you PLEASE, if you have it, also upload his performance of "Scarborough Fair" from this show?!!! It is probably my most favorite version of the song!!!

I think, at 0:28, there's a tear in Arts eye.

@noswalt IMDb backs this up, although it seems logical that he'd sing it in '75 when the song was a little fresher.
Trouble is, once Art stamps a song, no one else can do it.
