Un accoppiata stupenda due voci eccezionali. Bellissimo!!!

agree Ms Franklin, the party is over when the only party goers have nothing except 100 years ago to repeat without being able to live today.

I thought of some more artists too, Billy Preston and her did some good duets from her own home. James Brown and her did duets together that were widely praised on youtube. She did an amazing gospel number with Little Richard.

And I continue talking to you about magical Aretha Franklin duets. Her duet with Sammy Davis Jr was great. I thought Aretha's duet with Rod Stewart was great. She's had good duets with Elton John. She's done good duets with Gloria Estefon. I thought her duets with Mavis Staples and Joe Ligion were amazing. Aretha's duets on her Amazing Graces album with James Cleveland were good.

And you're going to even say Aretha can't do duets on one of the vids where she did several amazing duets with Tom Jones on. It was said that Ray Charles was to Aretha Franklin as Louis Armstrong was to Ella Fitzgerald, always bringing the best out in each other. Smokey Robinson and Aretha Franklin had gorgeous duets together on "ooh baby baby" and "Just to see her". Aretha's duet with Dionne Warwick on "I Say A Little Prayer" was great.

SoulSir, just because your soul collection isn't big enough to have came across a duet involving Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin is simply your loss. I'm no idiot for having files on my computer of her singing a duet with her on "Tell me Something Good" that tell me Aretha performed live with Chaka Khan. You're the idiot. And Soulsir, how can you not deny that Aretha's duets with those people (many of which were live) were not magical? You're just a hater. Go fuck off.

She never did a duet with Chaka, you idiot!! Ree, has no connection when singing duets...shes always distant from the co-singer.

I absolutely love this duet. A lot of people knock on Aretha in duets saying she can't give chemistry and tends to always add her phrasing to each lyrics. Well... I think it's simply who she is singing with. If the other person is great, the duet is great. If the other person is meh, then it's not so great. Ree's duets with Smokey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, and George Benson have been wonderful.

i'm speechless.
