They never forced the horses to dive. They always wanted to, and they loved it! So, all you people, it's not "cruel". And besides, how is it any different than any other sports horses have to do?? If the horse wasn't willing it wouldn't work.

Anyone else remember the scam auctions they used to have?

How on earth is the horse supposed to turn around once it's up there? Walk backwards down the steep slope? Doesn't the fact that the horse DIDN'T jump straight away suggest that it didn't want to jump at all, but felt that there was no other way down? Meh. Regardless of whether the horse liked it or not, it's stupid of humans to subject animals to such things for our own entertainment.

the divers at the water circus was Barney Cipriani, John Tobler, Doug Gandel, Dave Costella, Rick White & Barry Weiner. The woman on the high wire was Senorita Rosalee. I grew up in Ventnor and frequently went to Steel Pier.

Tell me that doesn't bring back memories...lol

The horse clearly was NOT forced. Did you see how long it took him to decide?
I am not a big fan of the whole horse driving thing, but i know it is the horses choice. Have you seen a person try to force a horse into a pond? The horse will run the other way. If this horse was being forced, he would have spooked and ran away.

But anyway it's a nice vid minus the horse diving part :)
Great flick but the vid would've been better if the song was from those times. That Creed tune ruins the old film experience for me anyway.

@pottycall I agree. I originally had the Beatles, but youtube made me take it down. I wish I could just get rid of the audio all together.

From Atlantic City. This clip shows my days there
as a 12 year old. The Circus at the end of the Steel Pier a quarter mile out from the beach. The Steel Pier Divers (Barney Cipriani is the name I remember of them)the Miss Atlantic City Speedboat. and the Captian Starns Tour Boats that you would see constantly if you walked the boardwalk. Such a innocent time. 4 amusement parks and three parades each summer. a wonderful town for a child to be raised. Thanks for the memories.
