The Art Institutes are a For Profit school system. They are overpriced and anyone can get accepted all you need is loan money and a high school diploma. You do not need a portfolio. The credits do not transfer because it is not a real school.

Although I agree with many of the negative points, I personally had amazing instructors. I learned so much about so many things. Based on the portfolios of me and my peers, I was seeing better work from our institution than any other University while graduating. You get what you put into it, and maybe I was just fortunate, but I was able to launch a successful business as soon as I graduated. No regrets here.
