Malboro FF8

Junctioning can be done better, of course. Because of my personal preferences I keep it that way. Quistis can be killed by 1 dissolving acid + 2 Eerie Sound Waves or 3 ESWs.
Normally I prefer Squall to be killed or petrified, than his survival and using remedy. (But at this moment of game it didn't matter any more. I've got plenty of everything)

Malboro in FF8 may be considered even worse than Ruby Dragons!
Level 100 M has hp comparable to level 100 Ultima Weapon. (143,500 to be exact).
To feel completely safe you should junction sleep, berserk, pain and confuse to status defense.

Malboro drop several valuable items.
On rare ocasions he drops Hypno Crown which you can refine to 10 aura stones.
Most often you get Malboro Tentacles. You want to have at least 11 of them: 6 for doomtrain, 4 for save the queen, 1 for bad breath. However you may refine 1 MT for 40 bios or 2 remedies. Refining 100 MTs will give you moon curtain which learns GF auto-shell ability.

How to get necessary magic? It would be easier if you have GF Doomtrain. Have someone with Initiative ability (Tonberry, Pandemona, Cactuar) and Mug command (Diablos, Bahamut) find malboro on eshtar plains mug and run no matter if you steal or not or pray for Odin to come. Once you awakened Doomtrain find creatures that you can draw status magic from them (i.e.funguar for sleep and confuse, eynoyle for pain, wendigo for berserk and stealing steel pipes), summon Doomtrain, your oponents will be defenceless and you can draw magic safely.

Once you get it all, fight malboros for curse spikes. 100 CS can be refined to dark matter. Darka matter learns Quistis schockwave pulsar, can be refined for 100 ultimas (!!!)or 1 luck-j scroll or 1 shaman stone.1 Shaman stone can be refined to 1 rosetta stone which learns GF ability x4 !

So you problably want to spend some time fighting malboros...

You will not have Doomtrain when you first start looking for Malboro tentacles so .....

You need to have 2 of your characters junctioned with GFs that have ST-Defx4, Cerberus is one you should have at this point and you can get a Status Guard item from the Shumi Village quest. Then Junction the following magic (hopefully you'll have 100 of these) to Status Defense:

Death

Pain

Confuse

Berserk or Break*

Malboro are seriously more difficult than 98% of the bosses in FF8.

It took me a few tries to get together a working strategy against them.
