Originally aired on August 21, 2010, on FOX Sports
Eri Yoshida, 18-year-old female knuckleball princess from Japan, was featured on a special edition of FOX Sports' "This Week In Baseball" program devoted to women in baseball. Yoshida played for the Golden Baseball League's Chico Outlaws this past summer and garnered national and worldwide media attention, including an appearance on CBS News. She even gets some pointer from her idol, Boston Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield.
At the opening of the program, another female kunckleball phenom appeared named Chelsea baker, a 13-year-old Little League from Plant City, Florida, who donated her jersey to the National Baseball Hall of Fame as did Yoshida, whose jersey and bat of her first pro game in Chico now sits.
