GARY LUCAS: PART 1 GODS & MONSTERS KFZ MARBURG 3/17/93
In April 1993, Gary Lucas, riding high on the success of his second album "Gods and Monsters" ("4 Stars"--Rolling Stone) took his psychedelic avant-rock band of the same name on a 22 date tour of Northern Europe, with well-received shows in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland. Here on St. Patrick's Day '93 we catch a glimpse of Gods and Monsters warming up on Gary's original song "Whip Named Lash" at their soundcheck at the KFZ Club in Marburg, Germany. The lineup includes Tony Maimone on bass (Pere Ubu) and Jonathan Kane (Swans) on drums.
