Off Broadway Musical-Spring Awakening is taking the world by storm!
I had the pleasure of seeing them perform today in Baltimore, Maryland at The Hippadrome!
~*~
This song is sung by the character Martha who is played by Lili Cooper (with backup vocals by Ilse-Lauren Pritchard)
It is eerie, and my favorite song from the wonderful musical that has won 5 Tony Awards including Best Original Score (for 'Mama Who Bore Me') and Best Musical.
I hope you enjoy!!

  • one of the best song in SA! oh...what am i saying...all of SA songs are great!

  • @FreeMyMind96 At least you can skip your ad. Mine won't let me -_-

  • fuck you fred, i'm hitting the damn skip button because i want to listen to amazing music NOT your annoyingness

  • From the moment I saw this song being performed, it has continued to bring me to tears. As a survivor of child abuse, there are parts of this song that I could have written myself. It's a beautiful song about such an ugly thing. xx

  • I saw this at a high school recently. They're one of two schools in the country doing the show, and they're helping pilot and write the School Edition. It was amazing. The girls playing Martha and Elsa were fantastic. The whole cast really, but this song is so important and powerful, and such a hard place to get to emotionally, but they played the roles so well.

  • I was lucky to see it at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre as well as go to a discussion/class type thing before the play. The drama club went and it was my first time in the city. It was wonderful. At our schools open mike night the drama teacher and a student sang this song. Don't think most of the audience knew what this song is about.

  • The first I've heard of this musical was in my musical theatre class my senior year of college. This song is one of my favorites from the musical, but if I were to perform it, I'd be sobbing by the end. Why? Because I've been through something like this myself. It's not pretty.

  • I'm playing Martha in a youth production of the show being put on in Edinburgh in March. Cannot wait. :)

  • @TheBandgeek811 High School?! Wow, you guys are lucky. And open-minded.

  • My highschool just did this play! It was amazing!!!
