Well your a talented drummer, however it kind of looks like you went to make a steve roberts pattern with the keys and they don't look to evenly cut, and there is way too much space between the the opposing keys.
Thats why those notes kind of sound like a heavy bass or just dead wood, no offense it's a great effort, i planned on copying the roberts key design myself soon, but for future reference the cuts need to be tighter and closer together.

True. I did copy after Steve Roberts drum since i had no plan I improvised using Photoshop to lay it out. It actually sounds better live than on my video and mallets bring out the tone. After I made and posted this video I called Steve and he shared some valuable tuning secrets with me! The one I built here is a beautiful piece of work and costed me about 25 dollars. The next one will be much better .... I know the secrets now!
