My apologies - for some reason I missed your question and just saw it. To change your group photo, while on your group wall, just click on the current photo and it will give you the option to edit it.

How do I change the group picture? First, facebook suggested to give the group a 'group picture'. As a joke, made the group picture a drawn penis. But i guess that is not so appropriate. The problem is, I can't find anything to change it.
