Octaver funky bluesy bass practice

Noodling with my MXR M288 bass octave deluxe pedal with a little talk about what I usually play when improvising over a minor tonality. I'm playing a Fender Precision 70's bass with flatwound strings I'm "babysitting" for a friend.
Regarding "fret noise":
Its the acoustic sound of the bass strings you hear getting picked up by the microphone, im playing with a very low volume on the amp, hence the string noise

OMG! I love the smoothness of this tone! It's like creamy buttery soft toffee.

that octaver seems to work reall well, I have realized a lot that is technique though. emphasis of fundamental over harmonics in his marlowe's playing here make the octaver track well despite it being a totally analog octave pedal.

that sounds way better than a guitar with an octaver. imo a guitar sounds better with a pitch shifter

I've just looked at your video with the MXR envelope filther. Im currently searching the market for envelope filthers and octavers. Do you recommend the MXR envelope filther? - is it your favorite, or is there anything you like more?

When it comes to octavers, I'm currently facing a choice between the MXR octaver and the EBS OctaBass - have you any experiences with the EBS? Which one would you choose?
