somthing to consider .. filter down the outside... although not a miles better by any stretch but you are far likely to be unseen and probably more so, ignored..i as a driver am far more likely to see you in the off side mirror, and would much rather all cyclist did this than choosing at will.. it was obvious from the start of this vid that there was a chance that the car would pull out so why not swap to the outside, and carry on passing trouble free...

Agree about filtering on the outside, which is always safer. On this road, for the previous 3/4 mile, I filter down the middle of the very slow moving traffic. About 200 yards after this spot I need to turn left, hence moving to the inside.

If i was driving the Mini, and I got flashed out by a car to get on to a busy road you don't have a hope of getting on to without being let out, and I saw you bearing down on me, i'd let you go past, but i'd think you were a dick.

She was in the wrong, no doubt - but would it have killed you to let her out?

I let many cars pull out - this wasn't an example of should I let her go or not - she wasn't even looking. She was coming out whether I was going two miles an hour or twenty.

Busy road, someone flashed her out so she went probably didn't even see you. Yes, this is not great driving, but at the same time this is just one of those unavoidable human errors that happen to all of us once in a while, you just have to expect that the driver "might" pull out, that way when they do pull out it won't be such a shock and you'll already be prepared to avoid the accident. Anticipate anything, first rule of driving (and cycling).

This is why I cycle on the pavement these days. EVERY time Ive been out on my bike in the last 20 odd years, the roads have been a place to die!

Too many cars on the roads, and too many illegal drivers due to the lax laws on immigrants driving licenses - I'm not racist, just stating a fact. Pakistani taxi drivers i.e 90% of taxis have drivers that have had about 3 driving lessons at most before getting a license

Why the fuck are all those people parked on the pavement when there is no driveway up there? Cant this country afford slopes on the sides of their roads, can they only afford gutters?
