Holy shit - I might have just fallen in love!

I don't agree w/ everything you say, but about 99% of it I do.

Many of the founders WERE religious. Look it up.

The founders were not very religious, they were deists. Look it up. Trying to lie lie about history is a crime against humanity.

I am incredibly pleased to say that religion of all sorts is a personal choice. Were it established as 100% fact, then it would be something more akin to physics than it is to philosophy. You have your beliefs, and I have my own, and that's awesome! I am thrilled you are allowed to believe what you do, and I can believe what I do. That said, in the same way it would be wrong of me to dismiss God as a pure myth, you shouldn't say atheists live outside reality.

I was in full agreement with this til he started railing against four hour orgies in a hot tub.

No, actually, you're not quite correct. It also means being truthful and honorable, and there are a lot of non-criminal activities that are neither. Lying is not a crime. Lying under Oath is (in more ways than one), but lying even to a cop isn't really a crime. Sodomy used to be a crime; now it isn't. Virtue is being as Truthful (as being God-like) as possible, shedding the Animal for the Human.

We're going to have to agree to disagree. You're not able to rationally explain your position, so you've simply lost the debate. And you obviously have a lot of company in being indoctrinated and/or self-deluded. Be well.

And God isn't "fantasy". If you really had a grip on reality, you'd realize that. I hope someday you will.

Reason doesn't ever let anyone down. It might not reveal what we want to see or believe, but such is life. I'd rather deal in reality than fantasy. I don't deny that your life changed after praying, but correlation isn't causation.
