This is the first recorded song from my band, Green the Light. We are a trio in Hawaii recording songs for our Ep release; 2 songs done, third on the way.

This song is called "Who's Tom Foolery?" and draws influence from everything from Animals as Leaders to Minus the Bear, Ent, the Exit, Circa Survive, etc.

Us:
Jacob (me): Drums/ Programming/ Bass/ Production
Nicolai: Guitar/ Bass
Austin: Guitar/ Bass

Recording Notes: DAW is LogicPro9 in an older Intel iMac. Drums are from AD with a mixture of all of the expansion packs, all performed live on a Roland TD-4. Electric and Acoustic Guitars were recorded through my VOX Tonelab ST on the Clean CST setting (a simulation of a classic Tube Preamp) and then into Amplitube 3. Bass was programmed using Spectrasonics Trilian Rock P-bass, with all of us contributing to that part. Some random Vibraphone samples and drumming on the back of an acoustic guitar were also added to finish it off.

  • hey man. would you guys be doing any shows? or do you just record? you guys have a pretty good sound, and hawaii needs a better scene.

  • @jordanoshi - - yeah, Hawaii definitely needs a better scene, but no, we won't be able to help fix that. Our trio has become a duo as Nic moved to Texas for college, so now it's just me and Austin finishing up a bunch of songs that we have recorded and then writing new material. The new stuff is getting progressively better, and all of the old stuff that we've already recorded and just not processed yet will get revamped and be totally ballistic in the near future; for your listening pleasure.

  • I like (:

  • @Blackman59391 thanks.
