Arriving in Ghana

Crew of the tanker, Bonsu arriving in Ghana on a beach near Salt Ponds. Eleven crew (seven Brits, two from the Baltic States and two Turkish guys), we came ashore from the ship by zodiac (rubber boat)from about nine miles out and got thoroughly soaked on the way.

As the zodiac ran up the beach we were surrounded by these wonderful children who put on such a performance it kept me going through the next few difficult days....
