@weheartcupcakes not black hair, it's better to cut our hair dry bc the texture is usually curly when wet and not it's true length. You want the hair to be as straight as possible when cutting so that it's even.

hey once you pull that lil bit from the other side as a guide if you cut straight across there is a chance that you are cutting it shorter ( the guide piece is being pulled to the other side making it shorter) which maybe part of why that side is shorter. i'm just saying, i saw a professional kelly vaughn i think (on youtube) and she keeps both halves in front compares them in front.

@1992bdh moisturizing your hair with a good moisturizer and sealing with an oil everyday is the best way to maintain you hair and ends...The ends of your hair is the oldest and farthest for your scalp so it often gets dry and brittle because it doesn't have access to the natural oils from your scalp, and thats why we get split ends. If you keep them moisturized you can extend the time in between trims allowing you to retain more length. :)
