A Leucochloridium paradoxum egy laposféreg, a borostyánkőcsiga (Succinea sp.) parazitája. A kifejlett féreg a csiga szarvába húzódik, ahol jellegzetes lüktető mozgással hívja fel magára az énekesmadarak figyelmét. A madár lecsípi a csiga szarvát és megeszi a férget, ami a madár bélrendszerében kezd petéket rakni. A peték pedig a madárürülékkel jutnak ki a külvilágba. Videó: Ember Péter
It's a parasite called the Leucochloridium, it infects the snail and grows inside of it until its ready to complete the cycle of its reproduction. The parasite will move to the optical tentacle of the snail as seen here and create pulsating like movements. It does this to attract birds to eat the snail where the parasite infects the bird and the cycle starts all over again.
