Just put a gyro on my easy star, not flown it yet. Similar set up though, brushless 3s, ailerons and 2.4ghz I am looking forward to some results.

Looks REALLY Cold... "REDNECK LOVE", Nice:) Does having ailerons help? And the gyro, does it make it even better and how? Thanks! Don

Ailerons are the way to go! I rarely use the rudder unless i'm on the ground steering. The gyro stabilizes the plane making it capable of flying in heavy winds. The easystar is almost like a glider so the wind affects it very easily. My street runs east/west and we often get north/south winds, with the gyro the crosswind landings are easy, without the gyro its a hassle getting it back on the ground!

I still keep thinking about your idea to do a RV FPV Road Trip. Every so often I think about it and just imagine it happening. Maybe put a landing strip on top of the RV like an aircraft carrier of sorts.

That would be the ultimate road trip for me! Get 3 pilots with FPV Funjets capable of keeping up with freeway speeds and fly during the day, sleep and charge batteries at night.
