Chad L. Coleman and Roger Robinson in Lincoln Center Theater's production of August Wilson's JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE, directed by Bartlett Sher. March 19 - June 14, 2009 at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway.
God willing, I will be performing both monologs for black history month at my church. This is truly an awesome part of the play and I will be able to play both characters in a 7-9 minute single monolog from the beginning of Bynums monolog until Loomis ends his.
Truly a "JAW DROPPING PERFORMANCE" by CHAD COLEMAN... The entire cast was EXCELLENT. But witnessing Chad Coleman's Dynamics (transitioning from ex street Thug turned mentor in "THE WIRE" where chad played "CUTTY" and now this Righteous Proud & Strong Father figure and loving husband who's reason to live is to be reunited with his family in "JOE TURNERS COME AND GONE" has given me more appreciation and respect for the craft of Acting. Top hats off to the ENTIRE CAST!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!
