Re-Phased XS650 Engine. This is a 277 degree rephased crank in action showing the rotation of the crank and the travel of the pistons in the cylinders. I do these cranks for many people in the UK and AU and have just now been getting interest in the US. I have a small business located in the mtns of North Carolina building choppers, cafe racers, and hot rod motorcycles. I build the cranks AND cams for these engine. • can you re-phase my 81' xs650 if i already bored it to a 750cc ?

  • @BrewandRide

    Yep, sure can!

  • Yeah, I was in Des Moines to deliver a rephased engine. Had lunch at Kung Fu Tap and Taco and met up with some other builders/riders in the area for just a few minutes.

  • What ignition/charging system are you running? It looks like a different flywheel on it!

Nice work, I really like the sound of your engine in the bobber you built!

  • @ctune1

The charging system is setup using a 3 Phase stator and it works amazingly well. Search my username (punkskalar) on chopcult.com and you'll find a full link to the system and all its advantages... For ignition, Pamcopete makes a killer ignition system that uses only 3 wires to hook up and no magic brain box. It all fits under the cam covers...

  • I heard you were in Des Moines recently. I wish I'd have known so I could have met you.

  • You and I need to talk

  • I remember how much smoother my CB250K4 was compared to similar 360 degree twins. I have to ask tho - why 277 rather than the usual 270 degrees?

  • im a noob. so can you explain what is going on here? and what did u change from stock? thanx

  • I'm glad to see you taking this on as a business. More cool XS650s will be hitting the streets. This is exactly why I want a Triumph Scrambler. The sound is that much better than the 180 degree stuff.
