Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), Tema con Variazioni from Gran Partita (Kv 361), arranged for carillon by Gideon Bodden.
Played by Gideon Bodden on the Taylor-carillon of Zwolle, The Netherlands, on July 13th, 2010.
This recital was organized by the Zwolse Beiaard Stichting.

The Carillon of Zwolle (1930) is the largest remaining instrument on the European continent made by the famous bellfoundry of John Taylor in Loughborough, England.

The audio recording was made in the garden of the Stedelijk Museum, at a distance of appr. 100 meters from the tower.

  • @DennisWubs Dank, Dennis! Er zijn aanwijzingen dat Mozart zelf ooit beiaard gespeeld heeft, op jonge leeftijd op de beiaard in Gent... Daar hadden we wel bij willen zijn!
