[FUNDUB] The Destination (Duodecim) featuring FFStill cast

My first [FUNDUB] with a bigger cast! These are turning out to be tons of fun! usually In FUNDUBs I voice most of the male characters for convenience but this time I went out of my way to get a big cast! (well this number is considered big for me for a clipdub)

I had planned this dub a good 2 months ago but I had to wait on lines, which I'm guessing is the reason why collabs take so long, but it was worth it! never had to worry about voice differentiation and I had the allowance to just zero in on one character! I wanted to get the cast of ffstill to fill the roles but that would leave me with no role to play. XP

(right now I'm editing like crazy since I can't record. this computer is dying soon so I'm making the best of it's last breath. XP so expect more dubs from me in the next few days.)

TIFA: Jordan is really my favorite Tifa VA simply because her style matches my own. She really gives her a down to earth feel. others would call it differently but the way I see it, the more you give a character personality the better. She really is a perfect match for my own version of Cloud! (damn makes me wanna dub something with her again) Mic had kind of a bass problem but aside from that I thought it was perfect. :)

VAAN: Micheal is really the best Vaan I know outside of Bobby Edner. I personally love Edner for Vaan despite what others say, but Mike plays Vaan in a way that I believe can reconcile fans with different opinions, which is what makes it great! I wouldn't let anyone else play Vaan. Vaan is my new favorite FF main character.

YUNA: Heather, for me, does the most perfect Yuna! she gives the character her intended feel while at the same time giving off what the original gave to the character as well. the gentle voice really does her perfectly and the only people who don't like this are usually the ones who don't like Yuna herself.

LAGUNA: Anath as Laguna is a no-brainer. He really gives him a "real" feel while maintaining that "big brother"/"uncle" feel while being a goof all in one non-stereotype package. something I know Anath is particularly an ace in when it comes to Laguna.

LIGHTNING: Danielle is said to be good in every voice she does, and working with her I'd have to agree. The texture of her voice alone sounds "pro" in itself what more when you match her ability to give propriety to the characters. why "propriety"? well 'coz anyone can act out emotions and give a character "life" but most often than not we overcompensate by acting out too much that it sometimes becomes inappropriate for the role. But Danielle, from my experience with her, does NOT do that at all. gives just the right emotions with just the right context that it just pleases the ears. :)

KAIN: I was able to concentrate on Kain this time. I really would've gotten Haruhost (Tim) to play him but that would've left me with no one to portray in this dub (wish Squall was in this scene). I've been studying Kain for quite sometime now and I really will stick with his FFIV DS performance; deeper more sinister regal. Again, people may not notice it but i do voice him deeper than how he was portrayed in duodecim, mirroring Liam's FFIV DS performance with my own little "autofix" on the accent.

EXDEATH: Not trying to come off lazy to type but honestly... Michael as Exdeath was really a no brainer. the bravado and wind in his lines while being able to drop into a sinister grumble is something Mike has, unintentionally, achieved which is something both the English and Japanese VAs for Exdeath all have in common. excellent. :)

GOLBEZ: I'm tired of reading how everyone keeps saying that "aussieroth is awesome as always"... and I hate it because it's so true! the epicness in his voice is something I can never fully grasp with words. picking which one of his takes to put into the mix was the hardest for me since he gave each take for each line such depth and interesting inflections! hats-off to you David.

@XxBitterTwilightxX maybe it's a setting thing? Anath used to have that problem too I think, even now his mic picks up a lot of bass but he was able to minimize it somehow. maybe we should ask him. :)

but again... I'm so in love with your Tifa voice! XD

The mixing and music was great and well normalized. I think its the best mixed clip I can remember from you Christian. Great work...well there's the cursor...but what are you gunna do?

Micheal: Vaan first. Its original and I always like so there is a plus. I will say that while your earlier laid back lines were great, the latter lines seemed a bit lacking in energy. I've heard you before, I know you can do it! Exdeath was as great as always though. Textured and menacing, love it!

you and FFStill team should do a Devil May Cry fundub, your voices are great. love that you made cloud's voice abit deeper than previous incarnation. if you listen closely Liam's Kain voice is a bit deep.
