Okay it's a human. But because it relies completely on the mother for survival until birth, I believe the mother has full rights to do with the baby as she pleases. It's dependant on her body.Just like someone who is caring for a family member who is entirely dependant on them and because of their condition, cannot communicate for themselves (to any extent), the carer should have the right to say what becomes of them (unless the patient's will is declared previous to the condition renderingthem)

@pennieroyaltea I'm as disappointed as you are in those conservatives who desert mothers and children in need. I believe the true pro-lifers do support life before and after birth and many of us still offer assistance to mothers and children. At the same time, I'm disappointed in my fellow Democrats who say they stand for those who don't have a voice and desert the unborn when it comes to this issue. We should vehemently, yet peacefully defend them.

@eggbert76 A lot of mothers and children are hungry, and that number is growing as state human services are cut in the wake of the economic downturn. Conservative state senators are voting to cut services to hungry children rather than impose new taxes. Where are the prolifers? Backing the conservatives who are cutting health and human services. Any poor pregnant woman who goes ahead and has her baby in this climate is a fool. The assistance you're offering evaporates at birth.
