Golden Ears Bridge, 3 speed zones = speed trap heaven

The Golden Ears Bridge should have been a fabulous connector between 2 communities on opposite sides of a River. What it is would rival the stupidest stretch of road anywhere. This stretch of what would appear to be 4 lane and 6 lane freeway is actually nothing more than a toll Speed Trap. I have recorded the drive from Maple Ridge to Langley doing the speed limit but have left out the Speed Traps to avoid their wrath.

Perhaps in addition to a speeding ticket, you should get a ticket for sticking into the middle lane instead of keeping right?

What made you stay in the middle lane across the entire bridge?

uhhh, a ticket for driving in the middle lane on an empty bridge? Wow, what an interesting cash grab that would be.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to see it, would it get a ticket for littering?

If a bear . . . never mind, it wouldn't be indecent exposure cause he has a fur coat on, LOL.

IMO, the freeway section should be 100 km/h and the expressway section should be 80 km/h.

@corbsvt Yep. It never ceases to amaze me how people will enter a major roadway and IMMEDIATELY get into the left lane and then drive substantially below the speed limit. The other day when I saw this, the person who was already IN the left lane laid on his horn, though it seemed to have little or no effect.

I posted a year ago on this video that I got a ticket and would be taking it to court. I just got my court date on Oct 20th. I will let you all know how it goes.

@RickInVancouver  well at least he isn't in the left lane, this city has the worst and slowest highways in the country by far and the left lane hoggers are ridiculous they make up about 70% of the greater vancouver freeway drivers and the speed limits are so fucking slow its hard to belive there damn highways lol

I can't believe how ridiculous this is, I haven't gotten a ticket yet, but that's also because I drop my speed before going over that hill at the end. They've also had no one on the radar because they were dealing with a huge lineup of cars to give tickets to. When they have a 4 lane highway that's ALWAYS deserted, it's obviously bait so they can make their monthly quota in a week.

I got a ticket on the 18th. I will be going to court I suggest everyone else who got one goes as well. This bridge is ridiculous and clearly unfair.

Yup, gotta pay for the bridge somehow. Hopefully the local media will cover this. Call a radio talk show.
