~LYRICS~
Touch me, I feel
Take me, I'm real
Sail away, into the sun
I'm everyone
Wake me, I dream
I'm what I seem
Drift away, into the night
I'm the light
I am the sky
Help you to fly
Catch your wind
It's love I bring
I'm everything
I am the sea
Always to be
Drift away, into the night
I'm the light
I'm a fire
Burning higher
Trying to burn the sun
But don't you know
The rules just won't apply
Who am I
Wake me, I dream
Now I'm what I seem
So sail away, into the sun
'Cause I'm everyone, yeah
Touch me, I feel
Take me, I'm real
Drift away, into the night
I'm the light

  • @Tyrfingr So obviously piracy isn't a big issue in the first place.

Oh and for the record, this isn't a bad song at all, but I think Dio sounds better in other songs like The Mob Rules, Rainbow in the Dark, and Holy Diver.

Also, I just noticed that in this song, Dio sounds a lot like the lead singer for CCR.

  • @Tyrfingr If I'm totally wrong about all that, I have one more thing to say: If they would care more about actual singing talent instead of a pretty face/pretty body and stupid choreography... If they would worry about the actual TALENT of a MUSICIAN rather than the image, maybe we'd be more inclined to pay for the music they put out. If the music industry is really in trouble, then it's their own damn fault. We've been able to copy music forever, and they're still around to tell us not to.

  • @Tyrfingr I think it also has to do with the fact that homemade music artists are becoming more and more popular, and as a result, their cookie cutter "singers" are becoming less popular and making the agents less money. I don't think it's about copyright infringement one bit. It's about having control over the market. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me.

By the way, I've been raging about it all for at least 10 years too. I can't stand new music, and it just keeps getting worse.

  • @Tyrfingr And I think that's the issue here. The record labels want their cut, and they're not getting it, and if they're not getting their cut, then they want the people making money without giving them their cut to not be known. They survive on this idea that they're needed for promotion, for an artist to make any money when the truth is they're not needed at all and just suck up money. I think because of the internet they're seeing a decline in artists being signed.

  • @Tyrfingr You know, I have an interesting theory about the whole anti-piracy thing. I don't think it's about album sales at all. I mean ultimately in the end it is, but I think it's about something more... Promotion. The music industry doesn't like the internet because it allows for free and easy promotion. Just make a song, put it out there, and hope for the best. I think the internet makes it easier for artists to become known and have their music heard without the help of an agent.

  • @DerStadtschutz I have raged against all of it for over a decade. Even people in my age (34) doesn't seem to bat an eyelid. Peoples passive acceptance to every change is always argued that it is both inevitable and something not be feared. As if all changes are for the better, yeah right!.. It must explain why music has been reduced to nothing but marketing and self-promotion by artists whilst the corporate machine is creating stars on assembly lines with computers and software.

  • @Tyrfingr Yeah you know what? You're right. At least back in 1995 we didn't have all this autotune bullshit going around. Motherfuckers can't even sing and they STILL get paid to have their shitty voice on an album. I can't believe the way people eat this shit up. And now we have "dub step," that "music" that sounds like a computer taking a shit on my speakers... I'm only 25, and I'm like the only one my age who sees this. Everyone else seems to be just fine with the shit storm of "music."

  • @DerStadtschutz It was on a decline back then for sure, but where we are now with this utter and complete disney shit goes beyond description.

  • @Tyrfingr Where have you been, man? It's been an abysmal hellhole since like 1995, if not before.

  • Este tema me quiebra
