@greg7francis then dont slide, i play on shitty grounds all the time. just dive as much of the way as you can, if its a low dive place your hand on the ground and use it to keep you up for longer while you dive.

how do you slide on dry-ish posh school non-sand based, i slide well on sand but hault on non-sand pitches, can any1 help???????????????????

@1234FTSK i would hav thought it depends at what level you play at :P if you r in a lower league u just hav to stand in the way but the higher you get, the tougher the shots will be and then u will require skills like mcgreggor is showing off in the video, and tbh to be able to dive and move like that in pads is quite challenging. if you think its so easy you try it :)

I never have played field hockey, I play goalie for dek hockey, and have always wondered what it would be like to play goal for field...
