I have rogers express. I am thinking of switching to Teksavvy. 60 GB isn't enough these days. I went over last month and this month is almost at capacity.. oh and few months ago i tried to do newsgroups and I couldn't even get it to work. The tech support at usenetserver claims it is rogers blocking it.. great! so now im using throttled torrents :(

I picked up a new rogers package for my internet and I'm supposed to be getting 24Mb but can't download over 250KB/s. Most of the time it hovers around 50-60... so now I'm paying 59.99 a month for dial up... stupid rogers and its throttling. Cancel time is coming soon.

I'm also using Rogers EXPRESS, suppose to give me 10 Mbps for download. Checking in these few days, the fastest I can get is 3.92 Mbps and slowest is 1.68 Mbps for download. I think I am paying top $ for shit. Anyone can suggest a good one for me to switch? My bandwidth can cap at below 100G, but must be real high speed download. Thanks. Thanks.

There is a difference between 1 Mbps and 1MBps. If you are saying that your extreme never goes past 1 Mbps then you are incorrect as no Rogers extreme or express user can have speed less than 1 Mbps since both these tiers have 10 Mbps speed but if you say you never go past 1 MBps then you are still pretty close to the advertised speed since 10 megabit (Mb) = 1.25 megabyte (MB). So check your units first.

well it's known bell throttling the bit torrents (3rd party) all resellers of dsl but I been hearing that news groups so far are not affected. I pay $43,00 a month and that's with my discount then ends in a few months i would have to pay after taxes 55 dollars for internet? express too that is ridiculous. It should be cheaper like how cell phone service is today compared to 10 years ago
