Victor (BW BL) 45205—B. "Same as His Faither Was Before Him" (Terry—Wells—Lauder), Sir Harry Lauder. Scotch Specialty with orchestra. Issued circa early 1921, also issued late 1911 on violet label Victor 60094. Played on my 1916 VV-X.
This in one of my personal favorites. I was given a copy, which I still have of 60094 in an album many years ago. They belonged to my maternal grandfather. They were some of his favorite records I was told.

I first heard it on a 1970's L.P re-issue when i was 13. I have a few Harry Lauder Records including some early single sided ones ('Ticklie Geordie'as i recall?). He made hundreds of cylinders and records between 1901and 1935.

85Scampi, This was the first Sir Harry recording I ever heard. My maternal grandfather had a well worn copy (60094) in a album of favorites my grandmother gave me when I was little-which i still have. I know this one by heart Heh Heh. So glad you enjoyed it. I hope it brings back many happy memories. Regards, J.
