@spudseamus , the term " Mad as a hatter " actually originated in the olden days because back then they used mercury to manufature hats and would send the workers and the people who wore the hats crazy', just abit of info for ya ! lol

Ok its this: You have 3 choices. Use mercury to refine gold. Use nitric acid (releasing poisonous gases) to refine gold. Or forget about gold. (which is necessary for nearly every electronic circuit board, so no more cars, phones, television, cameras, ect. Also, mercury occurs naturally, so releasing into the environment is putting it back where it came from.

LMAO! Pollute oceans half way around the world huh? You greenies really are daft. 99% of mercury pollution comes from power plants and heavy industry such as chlorine plants, not gold mining. You ready to give up Clorox, swimming pools, driving your car and having electricity? Then why scream at a poor gold miner who can't possibly affect your world? Ignorance gone to seed. The Green Hype has made you brain dead :)

Thats not even how gold extraction using mercury works...

well why don't we teach them a more efficient ways to extract gold, it is impossible to prohibit any activity don't even try, however if you show people it is easier, cheaper, faster and cleaner then they will use your method instead. stop being an arm chair commentator and share your ideas with the people who need them.

not only is thier no gold, but he is just polluted hundreds of miles of water.... damn damn damn stupid.
