  • great musicianship and beautiful sound.

  • You realize Parkening is so good he only needs 2 fingers and a thumb to waste 99.5% of the guitarists here (me included !)....

What is more remarkable is his left-hand *strength*. Barre chords, solid plants, zero squeaks... yep, his left hand was his late night girlfriend for sure...

  • @evhsrvfe It shows the arranger at the begining of the video Arr. Marshall. Its in one of Parkenings song books if you google it.

  • this song is on a my chemical romance album.

  • @julianwardguitar he studied under segovia.

who had right hand problems which made him play the way he did.

  • @julianwardguitar yo straight up. In my 15 years of playing I've never seen a right hand technique like that.

  • im so jealous. my mom was his pupil and was able to meet all kinds of awesome people through him. he rocks!

  • @julianwardguitar Maybe he figures the last two fingers slow him down. LOL It is quite a unique technique.

  • Could anyone tell me who made this arrangement? Is absolutely beautiful it has so much color. Thank you

  • great rendition, no doubt, but i think he made an error on the last Em (normally an E major) at the end of section B before going back to section A. Parkening is still the best regardless!

  • I have it on best authority that John Williams was backstage that night and bet Parkening $100 that he couldn't play "Romance" without the use of his "a" finger...Parkening won the bet.
