@CypressDahlia, some bboys do dance at nightclubs, they have competitions there and it doesnt hurt to try dancing to faster genres because it helps with stamina.
@Ahmad18ny, although dancing to other genres is good, cypressdahlia is right. we use hip-hop jazz, breakbeats to dance to for competitions as it is the perfect range of tempos from 120 to 140 sometimes 115 but none the less hip hop is better because the beat changes and it is more unpredictable to stay on beat "art of beatkilling

@CypressDahlia like i said, you feel the way you want. there are 7 billion people on this world...thousands of different b-boys etc. ever been to clubs in europe, you'll find b-boys that only like dance music. jazz and funk may be good for top rock, but windmills/powermoves/etc go better with faster, harder music.
