Arcadia, CA, Dec. 16 -- The current Thoroughbred racing season produced a host of great memories, and HorseRacing TV's (TM) (HRTV) popular newsmagazine show, "Inside Information," will provide a comprehensive recap of the sport's most indellible storylines when the season's final episode airs this Sunday, Dec. 21, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

The half-hour show, hosted by Jon White, will chronicle racing's most celebrated events from 2008, including Big Brown's exciting attempt at becoming's racing's first Triple Crown winner in 30 years. In addition, "Inside Information" will also highlight reigning Horse of the Year Curlin's spectacular, globe-trotting march to the record books as North America's richest Thoroughbred of all-time, with earnings topping $10 million.

Zenyatta stamped herself as a Horse of the Year candidate and her brilliance will also showcased, including her conquest in the inaugural Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic at Santa Anita. The yearly wrap-up will also remember the remarkable Eight Belles' second-place finish against the colts in Kentucky Derby, and the subsequent heart-breaking catastrophic, fatal injuries she suffered only moments after her gutsy try.

It may not have garnered full-blown attention among the general racing public, but Peppers Pride established a North American record for consecutive wins when she won a record-setting 17th straight race in October. A recent win at Sunland Park extended that skein to 19 consecutive tallies, and she's likely to retire with her unblemished record intact. "Inside Information" will give viewers a retrospective on the amazing streak, which originally began at Ruidoso Downs in 2005.

  • "it'll be a while before we see somebody else do that" - Scott Hazelton on Pepper's Pride's 19-0 record. Well it looks like somebody else is going to do that in 12 days.

  • I agree Chance!

  • What makes Eight Belles hurt so much more is that it really seemed to hurt Larry. Not like say Wayne who just sees them as a business tool. I hope he never gets close to another Derby let alone a Crown.

  • Just wanted to say there's nothing wrong with this comment, I accidentally clicked the thumbs down and it won't let me change it. I'd like to second the idea that it's a great video and I really enjoy all the stories HRTV did this year.

  • great vid HRTV, you guys do a great job.

  • Bravo!!! Well done.

  • Great vid and round up and that. I can't wait for 2009 raceing.

  • Very nice video.

And what a year it was!

Good to see all the ups, bit sad to see the downs and the ones who are no longer with us, but that's what life is all about I guess.
