Step-by-Step:
• Plug your composite-yellow in the green "slot" (this will allow you to view the image in B/W)
• Settings / Video / TV Resolution (you should have it set to 480i)
• Now STAND on 480p and unplug the composite-yellow, plug an HDMI to DVI-I & DVI-I to VGA adapter
• Press "play" and wait 2 seconds
• Unplug the HDMI to DVI-I & DVI-I to VGA adapter and replug the composite-yellow.

  • does this works with all, including old 40gb, apple tv versions? I know the new black one doesn´t have composite inputs

  • @medinloo My AppleTV is a 1.1 40GB (so its almost the oldest one) with Take3 software update. It all depends on the software if you have Take2 you'll need to watch this video wwwyoutubecom/watch?v=84lRorva­Avk

  • @medinloo YT doesn't let you post link so you have to fix the address and add "." before and after youtube.

  • do you need the "HDMI to DVI-I & DVI-I to VGA adapter" or can you use a regular HDMI cable?

  • @franfred11 you need the "HDMI to DVI-I & DVI-I to VGA adapter" or it will not work.
