  • I found the owl on the floor in the woods where people walk their dogs luckily I got a good natured pack of staffies who didnt harm it but if I would hav left it it would hav got torn apart by dogs or foxes it went to a santuary wit 3 other babies and was released succusfully when it was older bk in to the same are wit the other babies they still come bk and get fed by the rangerz now and then

  • Excellent points seph just ignore him he obviously dont know any thing about animals and how they behave xx

  • Actually it went to a wildlife sanutary which two others its age was raised and released back in to the wild as an adult

  • I didn't have to worry about the spilled pinhead crickets that went all over the place when I dropped the container. He chased every one of those things around hopped over and ate them all and caught one crawling across the back of my hand. I still have the spots where he pecked at my hands! XD Anyway, the release/rehabilitation was a complete success, although I'm not licensed or anything and not a rehabber, but we couldn't find one that day b/c of the holiday.

  • The first and second day, I had a hard time getting him off of my hand, he was clingy and would fly right back on my shirt, head and back on my hand. He pecked at my shirt, my leg, anything he thought was food. At one feeding, he was so impatient, he started hammering away at my foot, and the napkin I started first putting the food on. "Hold your horses, dang!" I would say. Then he screee and impale himself on the food bowl greedily sucking up the food. He caught all 12 crickets too.

  • Unfortunately, it did not occur to me to take pics, though I filmed him for 2 minutes w/what little film I had left in the bathroom climbing the rockwall. He would climb/fly up there and nap. Luckily, one of my family members came in and told me to look up at the camera when I was feeding him. Actually, by that time he would feed himself after I filled a syringe, gave him a taste, and he ate from a bowl. He'd look up at me & I'd give him a stern look saying eat more u need ur strength.

  • @scribblesstaffie Bet he was a handful. Just got through raising a baby woodpecker. He was a noisy thing, pecking on his carrier the second day we had him. I had to force feed him to get his strength up then he started eating on his own, pulling my hair, pecking on my head and trying to make a nest. By the fourth day, I had had enough and knew he was ready b/c he made a good flight around the room and I released him on Xmas morning. He's out there now drilling holes in our trees.

  • @scribblesstaffie that's so nice of u :D

  • Aww! :)

  • Gooddamnit!! Throw it a Pokeball! It's a freaking Hoot hoot! :o

  • the squeek it makes reminds me of a squeeky toy.

  • Feed it before it turns into an ANGRY BIRD =D
