That's the best looking and sounding Peanut Rider I've seen.

Does this engine put off a lot of exhaust? I just purchased one of these engines from PM Research to have in my dorm room, but am a little afraid to run it in my dorm in fear of setting off the smoke detector... Should have thought that through I suppose before I bought it. I can always run it outside if that is an issue but I think it would be cool to be able to run it in my room every once in a while

Pure ethyl alcohol puts out the least fumes. There is no exhaust, just the fumes from the alcohol lamp.

They go for about $150 new. Google, "peanut rider engine" for sellers.

Why are they called peanut riders ?

It's a "peanut" sized (11") version of a Rider hot air engine, from the late 1800's.
