braune ausstellung kaiserslautern denkt deutsch kauft deutsch, means, "brown exhibition Kaiserslautern thinks German buys German." Personally i think that is a old propaganda pin. But that is a marvolous find, it may even be quit rare. i kno no more than that about this pin.

Hitler became Chancellor in 1933, all kinds of hijinx went down. In Kaiserslautern there were many rallies, book burnings and maybe even a few bake sales. Brown was the color of choice for the Nazi's outfits at the time and most likely this pin is one that was worn in support of the rallies or book burnings. I think its nicer to believe it was worn by some house-frau as she sold her homeade streudel. Saw a site with same pin for sale for 75.00 Euros. It was older site so no clue how much now.

Thank you so much for that translation. Now all I have to do is find out what one of Adolph Hitler's early campaign buttons might be worth to a collector in today's market. Can somebody help me out with that? -wd74
