for most of my life, I could take or leave the boss... but at 36 years old, this song burrowed into my head, and I've been obsessed. Over the past two years I haven't heard a single song that is so haunting and real... Thanks to Robert Parker who brought this song into my life. I owe him much more than 50 pesos.

It's kind of sad at 19 I've just discovered Bruce Springsteen, since my family is very UK/Irish about pop and rock, particularly from the 80s. I've known Joy Division longer... but I love The Boss, it's like he put suffering in a bottle and smashed it against the wall, admiring the shards that fall...
