plasma is found on earth. And can be quite easily made.

Bose Einstein Condensates still can be made by humans, however the process does not quite qualify as "quite easily"

I recently watched the Absolute Zero documentary on PBS. There was a woman who managed to slow down light with a Bose-Einstein Condensate. We know from Einstein that light travels at the same speed everywhere. If light appears to slow down, that would mean that time is changing, not the light itself. If this woman managed to slow down light, then didn't she actually change time? In effect, she managed to slow down time for the light traveling through the condensate. Is my thinking correct?
