BlAcK WiDow Spider Foreplay/Battle-Real

Moving to Black Widow county 4 years ago-I had never seen one in real life.
I had only heard about them.
That was until yesterday when I caught 3 of them. Scarry stuff. Thank goodness for hairspray! That is how I was able to freeze them to catch them.Then right at dusk they perk up and become very territoral. THIS IS WHAT CAME ABOUT...

Other Australian species, such as the Sydney funnel web spider, have been known to show the same behavior. It was most likely trying to scare the threat away by showing off.

Yeah..ya might wanna get the facts right before you go labeling the video wrong. As many people have already stated, they are both females so it's obviously not mating.

You reckon? I caught an australian redback, closely related and kept it in a jar where it proceeded to drip venom off it's fangs when threatened by a finger or stick.
