A mid-afternoon departure on runway 26R at Ontario International Airport, bound for Denver. The "LA/Ontario" was added after the airport was built to avoid confusion with the more popular province of Ontario in Canada. Also, the same group that owns LAX owns LA/Ontario International Airport as well. On an interesting note, after departure, you can notice the aircraft enter a low altitude cruise for a while. This is because there is a noise abatement law that requires departing aircraft to stay below a certain decibel level for for neighbourhoods. The same noise abatement laws are in effect at nearby John Wayne Airport in Orange County, as well as at Long Beach Airport. In my opinion, its pretty stupid. If someone wants to live near an airport, they should know what they're getting themselves into. Aircraft should not suffer from unorthodox flight just because some loudmouth is bitching. Enjoy!
Sure took a long time to turn around!

I figured they had to stay low on the climb out because of the LAX arrivals overhead
