@niscape97 You are correct sir, except that the gas and whatnot heats up and releases light as it gets sucked towards the black hole, but before it reaches the event horizon (the boundary where light cannot escape from)

@PanzerBlitz43 Time travel is possible, just don't use black holes to do this, haha. You can use light speed to travel and make time somewhere condense or stretch (make time shorter/longer)

I don't know anybody who was killed by a black hole... I also did a quick Google search, and can't find names of anyone ever killed by one.
