The grungier side of My Bloody Valentine it seems. They played this song when I saw them live earlier this month. The riff was way too loud and the vocals were too soft as always. I couldnt hear the bleeding riff but i recognized the drums

Stop saying "Grunge"

This is some trippy fucking shot when you're stoned as hell

I don't like this as much as I do the stuff on loveless, but I appreciate it.

I remember the first time I heard this song...I used to record episodes of 120 Minutes back in the late 80's/early 90's...this video was on one of my tapes...shock and amazement ensued. This band is very underrated!

I remember getting the record this was on and pretty much only ever listening to this song. A lot. Then Loveless came out and I spent several years afterward evangelizing for it. Soon still gives me chills.

It does make sense that some Seattle bands were an influence on My Bloody Valentine. Even before Green River there was Overlord and the Blackouts, whom many a Washington area band recognize as influences. Even if MBV wasn't directly influence by the WA area grunge scene, they do have similar influences (Birthday Party, Cramps, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Husker Dü, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, just to name a few).

So feed me with your kiss.... fucking romantic, and sexy too. I wish I written this song before MBV did.

Grunge is a journalistic definition. In other words, as Kurt Cobain said, "Grunge" really doesn't exist. So stop talking about it, you look silly at best!
-
Um yeah, grunge existed when this song did. I love MBV but this song has a definite Dinosaur Jr. feel to it. Which is a good thing!

they had*
No way, Grunge didn't really even exist when this album came out. If anything, grunge is so MBV.
Also, did anybody catch that bit of Smashing Pumpkins' "Drown" clipped in at the end? That's kind of weird. But maybe it's a nod to MBV's influence on grunge. (Though I don't really consider SP to be grunge, either. I think they took shoegaze and brought it into the mainstream).

yup I knew these vids were too good to be true, I found these vids on google by doing that "index/of" search thing. I had no idea these were in HD so I guess I got lucky. Well that site is gone now, they were removed about the time when I started to upload these videos. I had the same problem in the don't ask why video. Its only now that pointed it out until I noticed it, If I caught it earlier I would of fixed it. Sorry everyone
