terrible copy but i guess you get what you pay for so here you have it 1977,Hong Kong, color
An amazing Hong Kong horror movie that features one of the strangest monsters in horror film history. Based on Asian Folklore, the Penanggalan, is a flying head, complete with a spinal column and organs attached, that prowls the night looking for blood and is particuarly fond of infants. A woman is cursed by an evil sorcerer and becomes a Penangalan. Her family enlists the aid of some monks to help her. Lots of gore and weirdness ensues. In the original language with no english subtitle
Tai Seng made a subtitled VHS. I sent an e-mail inquiry as to the current status of the film with a link to an image of the Tai Seng VHS cover.

I read on a forum that one of the actors in this died in 1970, so the film was post likely made in the late 1960s, and the music added later.

According to the Hong Kong Film Data Base the film is from Taiwan (1982) not Hong Kong. There is an English subtitled vhs from Taiwan but it's very rare.
