From Edvard Grieg's Op. 12 No. 4 set of "Lyric Pieces". This work has been alternatively called "Fairy Dance" or "Elf Dance." Either way, there is no doubt that many composers in the 19th century had a fascination with elves, goblins and the like. This is yet another, but a rather clever piece. I have arranged it for clarinet choir contrasted with heavy percussion and triangle to enhance the fantasy imagery of the subject matter.

  • Great Job Joe! Way to seemlessly work the percussion in. You are the master.
