Obama Hails Beginning of New Construction

President Barack Obama says the new road-building initiative in his economic recovery program will create or save 150,000 jobs by the end of next year. Some 200 new highway construction jobs will start in the next few weeks. (March 3)

07liberian: I can't agree. You're correct that america does have some socialist programs (social security/medicaire), but we have MUCH less than european countries. And I don't agree that basic govt sevices like police/postal constitute "socialism".

This is hilarious, 150K jobs in place of the 650K jobs we have lost this year. But Obama only mentions car manufactures lost jobs and not other sectors that have laid of people. Then he says we will be driving on new roads.

With what money will we pay for our gas and exactly what Non American cars will we be driving if we could afford a car without a Job. And another white lie, the jobs will pays a little more than minimum wage. "Good Paying"? And how will they be sustained?
