The village of Sackets Harbor will soon be able to fix some long-standing flooding problems.
New Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos visited the north country in early July to announce a $500,000 grant.
The project will target flooding problems near the corner of East Main and Monroe streets.
It's a project the village has been waiting to start.
Mayor Mike Kinnie says after the village board of trustees accepts a bid, the project can begin.
