New fish in Trigon 350

Just went to Fishy Friends in Basildon today. The guys were great and we bought £50s of fishes.
We got this tank from ebay and got everything lots of things with it. We added a bag of Tesco play sand [we wrote up our experience with play sand here http://cornertank.wordpress.com/] and it looks lovely now and ready for some Corys next time we go fish shopping in a month or two.

Inhabitants:
- 6 zebra danios
(Zia, Zick, Zuma, Zari, Zeeki, and Zoom Zoom the yellowy solitary/thinker)

- 6 platys
(Alfonso the Red wag,
Calisto the White redtail,
Cruz the Pineapple Tuxedo,
Daniella the big and brave Sunset wag,
Spotted Silver Mickey Mouse Camilia,
and Silver Mickey Mouse Emilia)

- 3 mollies
(Sven the Silver molly,
Ulrika the spottier dalmatian molly,
Helena the other dalmatian molly)

- 3 ruby barbs
(Anton da Man,
Silvana the one with half stripe female,
Giovanna the other female)

- 3 five banded barbs
(Ali, Casey, Nat)

- 5 cherry barbs
(Austen, Remi, Marius, Cha Cha, Mimi)

- 2 rosy barbs

This tanks is lovely! Im jealous, and I never thought of using play sand, I have read your website on it and highly considering it as a top layer over some amazonian substrate for plant growing and a soft bedding for fish.

@Kierakittie Hi, just something to add - our tank no longer looks like this as all the sand has sunk to the bottom and the gravel on top! If you are starting fresh I'd suggest go all sand or all gravel - there are benefts of both. If you want to do a planted tank I'd suggest something like Flourite (there is a sand version) - if you dont want plants play sand or pool filter sand is cheap and looks great. remember bigger bits always rise to the top!
