Well if we Californians secede we would be nearly as powerful as Canada and we would not have Americans enormous debt. We are still the most desired state by foreigners, ahead of New York also we supply the US with nearly all of its tech and 60% of its food. We pay more taxes to the Fed then we get back while Texas receives 200% what they give. If I say I am an American in Europe people will hate me but, if I say I am Californian people admire me. So whos laughing now Beck?

So did anyone read an article in the Wall Street Journal this past week about California's financial situation? Let me sum it up for you: in this past quarter century, California (as a donor state) has paid upwards of $600 billion to the Feds, money that's returned to other states! Seceding from the Union would actually be better for California.

@rawdawg15 lets see people still want to move here, houses are still worth more here than anywhere in the nation except new york city. we have chevron headquartered here, apple, and all the other tech giants, and the ports of los angeles, san francisco, and the san Joaquin valley where we grow so much of our nation's fruit, not to mention when we legalize marijuana there, im talking about real wealth, actual things that are real, not fake ass counterfeit money that is backed by nothing
