This now hard to find live-action special first aired on ABC in 1986, followed by a very popular VHS release.

Teddy Ruxpin creator Ken Forsse had previously worked on the live-action series "Welcome To Pooh Corner." Originally, the plan was to create a Teddy Ruxpin show in the same vein, and this pilot episode was produced. However, production costs and difficulties in this format led Alchemy II and Worlds Of Wonder to pursue an animated series instead.

  • Was the ship snoring? This corny movie put the airship to sleep!

  • I like how they just "accuse" tweeg of stealing the map, this brings back lots of memories for me, its kinda gay to watch now but I can't argue my childhood growing up lol :)

  • lol mudblops= putty patrol xD

  • I wish they could have done the whole series in this live action. Then again I wish the could have made more than 65 episodes of the cartoon. With Teddy searching for others of his kind, and MAVO having having the seventh crystal, they left the series open ended.

  • Right around the 5 minute mark is when it used to have the "To Be Continued" mark when it aired in syndication.

  • I just wish my toys would walk when they talk! I wonder how they got these to do that? LOL :P

  • 1:36 this isnt just a rock its CRACK and if we can find more of it HAHHAHAHA

  • 1:03 reminds me of the movie Dune. .hahah

  • i SO LOVE WHO EVER UPLOADED iT

  • I had the toy back in 1986 when i was 4 for my birthday and he was one of my favorites besides He-Man, Thundercats toys and some Transformer toys with some GI Joes.
