***READ BELOW FOR GUIDE***

This fight can be soloed by multiple classes and any Warlock spec. However this guide is geared specifically towards Demo locks. I find that demo locks are one of the best classes for this encounter because of its massive AoE capability, Legion Strike's healing debuff, and self healing abilities.
This fight can be done with beginning raid gear (avg ilevel 346) however it becomes much easier with BiS raiding gear. There are several key aspects to this solo encounter which must be done correctly in order for success.

1. Pull the first mob towards the middle of the room to minimize the time between the pull and when you can start DPSing.

2. Gather the casters and UNLOAD every AoE ability and cooldown you have to try to kill as many as possible before they start healing. If you do not kill at least 2 of the casters before your cooldowns are done or you will most likely need to wipe. If you get good RNG and manage to kill 3 or more, then the fight is pretty much won. When your cooldowns are finished you can then single target zerg the remaining casters.
This is the only difficult part of the encounter.

3. Leave the Infernals alone. They have too much health and they will die shortly after you kill their summoners.

4. After 2 minutes or after you kill all of the casters Magtheridon will become active. Send your Felguard in and let him build up as much aggro as you can before DPSing. Ignore any remaining Infernals.

5. He only has to 2 abilities that will have any effect on you.
1) An AoE nova ability which will to 2k-3k damage every second. This is easily healed through with Drain Life and should pretty much be shrugged off.
2) An earthquake ability which will throw you all over the room for about 10 seconds. This ability does no damage and is nothing more than a nuisance.

6. DO NOT do what I did in this video and pull aggro on the boss while your Soul Shatter is on cooldown. He will axe you in the face and make you cry. Just keep up your DoTs, use Felstorm on CD, and and Drain Life. When your Soul Shatter is about 30 seconds from CD it is safe to pop Meta and unload on him. Return to Drain Life/Life tapping when they are back on CD.

7. This fight becomes easier the more you do it and the more geared you are. Practice and you'll be netting ~550g per week.

Stay tuned for more soloing guides in the following weeks.

EDIT: I HAVE GAINED A FEW MORE PIECES OF EPIC RAID GEAR SINCE I MADE THIS VIDEO AND HAVE SINCE BEEN ABLE TO KILL ALL 5 OF THE THE HELLFIRE CHANNELERS BEFORE THEY START HEALING OR SUMMONING INFERNALS.

  • i actually didn't need to read the guide itself. thx much :D

i'm raising a warlock now and love it, but i do this weekly on my DK.

  • @arcticsquirrelmonkey I've been doing it on other classes too (Priest, Mage, Hunter, Warrior, and DK). I've found that some classes are just better off single targeting the casters and some are better off AoEing. But in all cases gear definitely makes a difference. So far I've found that Blood DK's in DPS gear hands down have the easiest time on this fight in my opinion.

  • It says guide, but it's just you killing? you explain absolutely nothing, thumbs down.

  • @RsJingles The big "***READ BELOW FOR GUIDE***" must not have given it away. You might want to second guess your education, sir.

  • Very nice guide and good job :)

One question: is that CT_Viewport you're using to black out the bottom of your screen? I ask because i have a similar UI, and haven't found a replacement for Viewport ... which is kind of outdated :-\

  • @geblah187 It's called Skinner. It can reskin pretty much everything on your UI in one way or another. I just use it for the viewport function and disable everything else though. If you'd like to see all the addons I use I have a Nefarian kill video in which I will be listing all addons I use on it.

  • No one commented on the Meshuggah. Best part to be honest, but I think the author would have to agree. Solid video.

  • @GamerSirus lol yea on my dk i don't kill any, i just take it :D... in a corner... what?

  • Thanks for the vid man really helped me, just downed him =DD

  • @GamerSirus atm using x-perl party / raid-frames,necrosis,omen 3 + recount and button frame to keep al the addons away of my mini-map,and titan bar +the basic auctioneer atlas ect,but that as far as the layout addons go, so far haven't gotten found any nice addons that actauly push the whole ui downwards like you got.

kinda anoying to have part left and right screen blocked while ya stil got check at those sides, which your ui you got al the info dead centre.which is rlly nice

  • hell yeah, meshuggah goes perfect with locks
